Examination and treatment plan
We look at your X-rays together and you go home with a written plan: what needs doing, in what order and what it costs.
I'm Dr Andrew Collins and I'll look after you myself, from your first check-up to your final visit. No rushing, no surprises on the bill and everything explained in plain English.

We take care of everyday dentistry: prevention, fillings, repairs and dentures. When a case needs a specialist, we refer you to a colleague we trust and stay in touch with them throughout.
We look at your X-rays together and you go home with a written plan: what needs doing, in what order and what it costs.
Ultrasonic scale, polish and Airflow stain removal. Recommended every six months to keep your gums healthy.
Tooth-coloured composite fillings under local anaesthetic. Decay caught early is usually sorted in a single visit.
We save the tooth rather than take it out. Canals are cleaned and sealed, checked on X-ray, and it doesn't hurt.
When a tooth can't be saved, we remove it gently under anaesthetic and give you clear aftercare advice for home.
We rebuild broken or missing teeth with porcelain or zirconia restorations, carefully shade-matched to your own teeth.
Full or partial dentures, acrylic or chrome, adjusted patiently until they feel comfortable and secure.
The first visit is all fun: we show them the tools, apply sealants and fluoride varnish, and teach them to brush properly.
I opened the practice in 2011, after qualifying in Bristol and spending several years at a large, busy practice in London. I wanted a small place where patients aren't passed from one dentist to the next and where I have time to explain every step.
We use materials from established European manufacturers, sterilise every instrument in an autoclave and take digital X-rays with a very low radiation dose. And if a treatment isn't necessary, I'll tell you so straight away.
“Most patients come to me feeling nervous. I want them to leave feeling confident, and to come back only for their check-ups.”
No repeating your story to someone new at each visit. Your dentist knows your history and knows you by name.
You get a written treatment plan with the cost of each stage. No new figures appear at the end.
Modern anaesthetic, breaks whenever you need them, and appointments spaced out properly, not back to back.
In the centre of Bath, with on-street parking nearby and step-free access, easy to reach for older patients too.
Below are guide fees for our most popular treatments. Your exact fee is confirmed after your examination, depending on each tooth.
* Guide fees for private treatment. We accept cash, card and contactless payments.
“I'd put it off for years out of fear. Dr Collins explained everything and I didn't feel a thing. Now I come for check-ups without the nerves.”
Sarah T.Patient since 2018“He made me the denture I'd struggled with for years elsewhere. Adjusted it three times until it fitted perfectly, without charging a penny more.”
George P.Denture patient“My six-year-old daughter came out of the surgery smiling. Emma had the patience of a saint with her.”
Rachel M.Mum of a young patient“I got a written plan with prices, and that's exactly what I paid. You rarely find that. I'd recommend him to anyone.”
Chris D.Crown patientTwo surgeries, a separate decontamination room and a waiting room that never feels crowded: because appointments are spaced out, you'll rarely wait more than five minutes.

Almost all treatments are done under local anaesthetic, and before the injection we use a gel that numbs the gum. Most patients tell us it was far easier than they expected.
The examination costs £60 and includes a full check, a chat about what's bothering you and a written treatment plan. If you start treatment within 30 days, the examination is free.
No. We're a private practice, so anyone can book an appointment, whether you're a new patient, visiting family in the area or simply looking for a second opinion.
Call us on 020 7946 0000. During opening hours we'll do our best to see you the same day, even between two patients, to get you out of pain.
A first visit at around 2–3 years old is ideal, just to get used to us. Then check-ups every six months. The earlier children start, the less likely they are to be scared.
For larger treatments (crowns, dentures) you can pay in stages as the treatment progresses, or spread the cost with an interest-free payment plan. We accept cash and card.
Fill in the form and we'll call you back the same working day to arrange a time. If you'd rather, just give us a call.
