What we treat today

Emergencies we see every day

You don’t need to know what’s wrong. Tell us on the phone how it feels and we’ll give you the first open slot.

Severe toothache

Throbbing pain that wakes you at night or won’t ease with painkillers. We take an X-ray on the spot and treat the cause, often at the very first visit.

Abscess and swelling

Swelling in the gum or cheek is a sign of infection and shouldn’t wait. We drain the abscess, treat the tooth behind it and tell you if you need antibiotics.

Broken or cracked tooth

After a fall, a knock or biting on something hard. We rebuild the tooth with composite or protect it until a permanent restoration.

Lost crown or filling

Crown, bridge or filling come loose? Bring it with you. If it’s intact, we clean it and cement it back, often the same day.

Before you get here

What to do until you see us

Simple dental first-aid tips to get you through the first few hours. They don’t replace an exam — call us and come in as soon as you can.

01

You have a toothache

  • Rinse with warm water and floss gently if you feel food caught between your teeth.
  • You can take an over-the-counter pain reliever (such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen), following the label.
  • Hold a cold compress against your cheek for 15–20 minutes at a time.
  • Don’t put aspirin or other tablets directly on the gum — they can burn the tissue.
02

You have swelling or an abscess

  • Apply cold to the outside of your cheek, never heat — warmth can spread the infection.
  • Don’t try to pop or pierce the swelling.
  • Rinse gently with warm salt water.
  • Come in the same day: an abscess won’t clear up on its own, even if the pain eases.
03

You’ve chipped or broken a tooth

  • Rinse your mouth with water and keep the fragment in a glass of milk or water.
  • Hold a cold compress on your lip or cheek to reduce swelling.
  • Avoid chewing on that side and skip very cold or hot drinks.
  • If a sharp edge cuts your tongue, cover it with a little dental wax from the drugstore.
04

A whole tooth was knocked out

  • Hold the tooth by the crown (the white part), never by the root.
  • If it’s dirty, rinse it for a few seconds with milk or saline — don’t scrub it.
  • Put it in a glass of cold milk and come in right away — the first 30–60 minutes matter most.
  • Knocked-out baby teeth aren’t put back in, but bring your child in for a check anyway.
05

A crown or filling fell out

  • Keep the crown or filling in a clean little box and bring it with you.
  • Don’t glue it back with household adhesive — it can damage both tooth and crown.
  • If the tooth is sensitive, avoid sweets, cold drinks and chewing on that side.
  • Brush the area gently to keep it clean until your appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers

Have another question? Call (555) 010-0100.

Can I walk in without an appointment?

Yes, we see emergencies without an appointment. Still, please call ahead: we’ll tell you how long the wait is and get a room ready so you’re seen as quickly as possible.

How much is an emergency visit?

An emergency exam with an X-ray is $95 on weekdays and $150 on weekends or after 8 pm. Any further treatment is explained to you and agreed before we start.

What if it hurts at night, after closing?

Follow the first-aid tips above and send us a WhatsApp message — we’ll reply first thing and book you in first. If you have a high fever, spreading swelling or trouble swallowing or breathing, call 911.

Will you pull the tooth that hurts?

Only if it can’t be saved. In most cases the pain stops once we open and treat the root canal, and the tooth is kept. We make the decision together, after the X-ray.

Do you see children for emergencies?

Yes. We have a pediatric dentist on the team, and our weekend emergency shift treats kids too. If your child knocks out or breaks an adult tooth, come in right away.

How can I pay?

You can pay by cash or card at the front desk. For larger treatment plans, we can split payment across treatment stages or set up a flexible payment plan.
